Plans are now being made for our tournament on Sunday 11th May 2024 at The Irish Centre. Hoping to run a 50's and 60's mini league alongside each other. We are looking for a local business to sponsor our tournament to help with costs.

And finally we have found a league to play in. Oxfordshire Walking Football League have excepted us to enter at over 50's level. More news of that to follow.

Here are the thoughts of one of our new players that has moved over to walking football from MK Irish Vets which I guess could be described as one of our own coming through the academy. 😊

I did my first session of walking football last Monday evening.
We split up into four teams and played against each other for twenty minute games.
You have plenty of time on the ball and it makes you think quickly.Really small risk of injury but still a decent workout as your always moving to attract a pass or open up an angle.
It’s challenging not to run and you frequently over hit passes as people receiving cannot run onto balls.
Communication is important and older generations grew up on noisy football so it’s a bit of throwback.
All the lads that have played for the Irish vets would really add something to the existing group.Definitely increase the standard and keep the dream alive.
We have had the best team around for years.No reason we can’t take it to another format of the game and continue the success.
Anyway I am back training Monday and it’s Dunstable away in a few weeks time.

Our eagerly awaited home tournament took place on 27th  May 2023 at Manor Field in the sunshine. Thanks for the teams that travelled to us. We just about edged it winning on goal difference.

Some of our team enjoyed a lovely buffet at The Ganges Lounge. We presented Shaz with his own MK Irish W.F.C. Shirt. Also with us is our new chairman Michael O'Hanlon from MK Irish Centre and MK Irish F.C. Chairman Tom McEvaddy
